Safety, Health and Environment I

Provides an introduction to the field of safety, health, and environmental concerns within the process industry. Within this course, you will be introduced to various types of plant hazards, safety and environmental systems and equipment, and the regulations under which processing plants are governed.


Course Objectives:

  • Classify selected hazardous materials into specific industrial hygiene hazard types
  •  Describe the short-term and long-term effects specific hazardous agents have on the environment
  • List the various chemical and particulate agents found in the process industry and discuss the potential effects such agents have on safety, health, and the environment.
